1971 c10 air conditioner

My truck don't have factory vents above the radio or on both sides of cab but it has this "pic" I don't know what that is but it's ugly big and in the way did that come form factory never seen one in a pic on here are anywhere but my main question here is can I cut the vent holes in my dash and any info on the big ugly vent duct thing thanks

yea that's aftermarket. maybe a dealer installed it? you can cut holes for the vents. Do you want to install factory ac or aftermarket like Classic auto air, Old Air Products, or Vintage air?
