K10 Super photos on a sunny Colorado day
Got my new Super's steering column all back together today and decided to take it out for a little spin in the unseasonably warm sun. Thought you all might enjoy some photos!

Good looking truck Joey! Glad to see it tagged. Did you get the column all straightened it?

Re: K10 Super photos on a sunny Colorado day
Thanks - guess you would know!
Yep, got the column sorted. New shift lever, new indicator, new indicator bulb, cleaned everything up a little and made sure everything was tight all the way down to the tilt base on the column. Also pulled the lower end apart and rebuilt the intermediate shaft coupler. Rag joint looked good. Lower bearing needs replacement but LMC sent me a power window switch instead of the lower bearing I ordered, so that will have to happen later, maybe with a new Redhead box too sometime. Installed half of a steering box brace from ORD, will have to re-route brake lines to do the main brace. Steers a little tighter now! Got it running a lot smoother than it was at first up here in the mountains, but still learning about the details of timing and carb setup. Dialing it in. But maybe the biggest ride quality difference I made today was remembering to air down the tires. Whatever PSI you ran at sea level made for 50psi up here, and the first real drive was rough! Aired 'em down to 35 front, 30 rear and things feel a lot better...

Re: K10 Super photos on a sunny Colorado day
Thats the color combo that made me fall in love with these trucks back in the late 70s. Great looking for sure! Im up in Wyoming and share the challenges of altitude adjustments.
