Stock Steel Rims for 68 K10

I've been looking for some 15x8 rims but not having much luck and ran across a local guy with some decent rims from a 70s Blazer. He says they are 15x7 but have only seen 15x6. Would these rims work? They are 6-lug.... would still prefer the 8s.....

Thanks, Dave.

they probably came off of a blazer from the eighties. 15 x 7 sounds about right. worth it if the price is right. they also work well with disc brakes if you plan on that upgrade down the road. lots of affordable tire choices too.

Nope, just standard stamped steel rims with some hubcaps.

Re: Stock Steel Rims for 68 K10

Thanks, nothing that fancy, I remember those wheels though.

The seller wants 250 bucks for the set of 4 with good tires though I have not seen them as yet. "good tires" can mean many things, I'll have a look at them and report back. I would like to get something that would carry the 33 x 12.5's if possible--but that wouldn't catch the originality thing I'm going for. Plenty of other vehicles in the stable to put them on.....Currently have rally rims on the truck.

rallys do look good. the rims sell for about 25 to 35 dollars a piece down here in Tucson. several military surplus vehicles dealers have them because Ft huachuca, davis monthan and luke afb are all phasing them out, the blazers them selves that is.

I had heard the CUCVs for example ran the 15x8s though, would be great to get a set of those if they are indeed the dims I want. Can anyone confirm what the CUCVs run?

I've never seen 7" 6-lugs. I believe they went up to 6.5" at some point, but most are 6". $100 a set is what the wheels are worth. Many try asking more because they base pricing on the hard to find/highly desired no longer made 8". I'm sure somewhere these stock width wheels are available new. I found 5-lug by looking at trailer wheels. Not sure if they clear calipers, but these were for my trailer

...starting in the '80s and also on K10s. Nice wheels but not what he said he's looking for.

Re: Stock Steel Rims for 68 K10

I went to look at the wheels and they just didn't fit the bill. Just too skinny a look even though it might have been the original one. Might just keep the rallys and run 31" BFG All Terrains--dunno.
