Vortec 906 heads??

Are these a good overall set of heads? Looking at a pair that came off of a 97 Chevy pickup. Besides different intake, are these direct bolt on to an early model
350 block (1969)?
Thx,

They require the intake, centerbolt valve covers, and self-alligning rocker arms.

There has been some discussion that the 906 Vortecs have lower exhaust flow numbers that the other casting (forgot the number) due to an thick exhaust seat, but i hear that argument is false.

Yes, I believe that myth was started by CHP, it is totally false, and they said so and apologized in a later issue. the 906's are the same exact heads as the other vortecs.

They are good heads, a really high-flowing factory head.

Also, if you do not get them or use them, PM me, i'm looking for a set...

..

Thx for the reply. I'll let you know if I don't buy. Actually they are up for auction, so it's kinda risky to buy the set without having 100% proof they are ok. I might end up looking around town for a set, so that I can have them checked for cracks, etc....

How bout the older 3932441 heads? Came between 69-70.
