Best running, most reliable, coldest-starting pre-fuel-injection vehicles I have ever owned where the Rochester (2GV?) 2-bbl carbs.

The -best- cold-start vehicle I've seen to date was a tie, but one of them was a 307 '68 GMC with a manual choke. The compression was low so maybe they crank faster in the cold too, but it always lit off in -40F.

My '75 Monte 2bbl cold-started, not plugged in, at -44F, the coldest I've seen (wind chill doesn't affect metal once its ambient). The only reason I plugged it in was that the oil is like lard and its hard on them in that temperature!

Do I sound oddly fond of 2 barrels for a guy that no longer owns any?
