What is this wiring piece?
The two off-white/yellow tubes on the wires, not the yellow butt connector. They do not open or contain a fuse. I need to replace these wires because my truck's former owner (who I just looooooove at this point) had these wires resting directly on the headers. Just would lie to know if I can eliminate them, or what to replace them with if need be. |

^^ Yes, they're fusible links.
To be more specific, the fusible links are actually the short sections of smaller gauge wire between the starter solenoid and the off-white plastic "tubes". The "tubes" are just insulators covering the factory splices between the fusible link & the wire it protects.
