Does anyone know where I can find this bolt?

It's my seat. The bolt that holds the back to the bottom. I've searched my parts catalogs and hardware stores, kragen don't even have it

Try McMaster-Carr. I just got some left hand threaded nuts through them that I could not find anywhere else. Their website is pretty easy to navigate, you just have to know the specs of the bolt.

McMaster-Carr? Looks like it may be a 100 degree flat head machine screw/bolt:

Find the correct size and cut to length, if necessary.

Re: Does anyone know where I can find this bolt?

A hardware specialty place might help you. You'll likely have to spend some minimum amount of $$$ if they have it, be prepared to buy some other bolts, etc, if you find one...

Re: Does anyone know where I can find this bolt?

From the looks of the other one, there's a lock washer integrated with it? If you have a Fastenal nearby, it might be worth taking the other one out and taking down to the Fastenal to see if they have what you need.

I will state the disclaimer that the ones around here have disappointed me a time or two on what I thought should be a commonly available bolt.

You might also want to consider heading over to the parts board, and find DLTRUCK1973's hardware thread and ask if he has one. I've bought a bunch of bolts and other miscellaneous hardware from Tom.

not to be a smart-ass, but did you check under your seat? Places like that (garage floor etc) usually have them in stock for me, but I don't realize it until I've gone to great lengths to obtain a replacement!

First place I looked lol. When I replaced the carpet I looked under the gas tank and under the sill plate covers too

Re: Does anyone know where I can find this bolt?

I haven't done this yet; but it was on my list to put a knob-bolt in that location to make it easier to fold the seatback forward when I need access...

The bolt spec should probably at least a grade 5 though if not grade 8 for crash worthiness

Example photo attached - that is just the general idea - the one shown isn't necessarily the right threads or length..

Here is the bolt. Good luck. I need one too but haven't been able to find a suitable replacement.

I found some at a local AutoMart. I needed a couple and the guy gave me some for free. They did not have the lock washer on them and they ended up having a hex head. They threaded in perfect. The couple I got don't match the others, but hey, the upholstery goes over them anyways.

With this picture of the bolt, it looks like a standard flat head Phillips machine screw/bolt, not the 100 degree version. Probably 3/8x16

Re: Does anyone know where I can find this bolt?

I just checked a 68 GMC I have and both sides have been replaced with 3/8" hex head bolt (9/16" head).

As others have posted a flat head allen cap screw can be found pretty easy at good hardware stores.

Not sure if this is the right length

Ya that's probably what I'll do then. I was trying to find the right one but I'm getting a new seat cover anyways so it won't matter cause it'll be covered up

Re: Does anyone know where I can find this bolt?

I found them a ACE hardware, it has an Allen head instead of Phillips but works great.

MSC has all kinds of bolts and fast shipping. I don't remember what size they are but the link should get you close.
