Trim question?

Do you put the clips into the trim first then push on to panels?

I have done this a few ways what's the easiest way with out messing up paint trim or clips?

yes place on trim 1st - then place the bezel close enough to make sure all the tips line up with the holes, adjust if necessary, then gently push the whole shebang in.

Anyone have any tips for removing the moulding around the tail lights. I want to remove my originals and replace with an NOS set I have.
