Heater core mounting

I failed to photo the disassembly of my firewall heater box assy (72 suburban non A/C). There are 4 holes in the assembly and I seem to remember two bent rods. Is there foam between the rods and heater core (mine looks like brass) Any photos would help !

Re: Heater core mounting

There was no foam on mine. Though I did just buy a heater core from a supplier, I can't remember which, that didn't work. It hit the screws. Went to a local radiator shop that had a core and it fit as oem......
