How do you grease steering shaft?
How are you supposed to grease the boot for the intermediate shaft? Mine feels empty. Short of poking a hole in it I don't see a way unless you take it apart. Thanks in advance.

Re: How do you grease steering shaft?
Have a look at the Cherokee intermediate shaft mod. They cost $13 at the pick a part around here, and there are always a few there. It takes a couple minutes to pull.

Re: How do you grease steering shaft?
Pulling it apart doesn't take very long, and if you have any play in the coupler, you can remove the square wear parts, rotate them 90*, and reduce slop...

Re: How do you grease steering shaft?
First off thanks for the advice you guys. Franken-I'm not into switching to the jeep shaft just yet but a great idea and looks good too. Borax- Nice shaft you have there(no jokes here either ). I'm just going to pull it and clean it up real nice for now and when I do a frame off and everythings new ill consider the jeep option. Joey- thank you. A good way to make the parts last a little longer and that gives way for money elsewhere. Ill post before and after pictures when I get done.
