Th400 in a shortbed

Has anyone installed a th400 behind a v8 mounted in the rear holes on frame? If so does anyone have a length of the drive shaft? Truck was a 250 with 3 on the tree and 12 bolt rear end. Any information will help.

Thanks Travis

You can not go by the length of driveshaft that someone else used. To be correct, you must measure what is needed for your truck, and then have the driveshaft shortened or built accordingly. Is your TH400 a short tail shaft or long? If short, does it have a bolt on yoke or is it a slip yoke?

Not sure on the tail shaft. I did measure, was just wanting to see what others had come up with. I already have shortened it and installed it. Thanks for the information.
