Question bumpers

I have a 68 GMC, short wheel base, 2wd, Rear leaf spring. I am wondering if the front bumper is the same as a chevy of the same year. I noticed that from 70-72 the front bumpers on chevys and GMCs are different. I was also wondering if the rear bumper and brackets are the same as a chevy of the same year. If not which ones do I need. In all the Resto magazines the rear bumper brackets are listed only for coil spring applications. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wes is a professional parts vendor...I would trust his word.
I had been under the impression it was just 67 that used the chevy bumper, but Like I said, i trust Wes.
Welcome to the board 383gmc...where you located, and what's the details of your rig?

Hey Wes! You are absolutely correct! Since I seconded the motion, do we have a quorum to put it up to a vote?

I didn't respond to this part of the question. Fleetside bumpers from 67-72 are all the same and stepside bumpers are all the same. The differences are in the rear bumper brackets. The short wheel base soil spring trucks, long wheel base coil spring, and long wheel base leaf spring, are all the same. The short wheel base leaf spring trucks have different rear bumper brackets. If you need a set we have them in our "Chrome & More" section in our website, under bumper hardware.
