OK guys,, an odd search

I gave my son my 58 apache that my Dad built in the 70's. It's a bit different than we play with here in this section,, but I thought I'd ask you guys before I went on a deep search.

This is a 250 straight 6 with a early (4 bolt side cover) manual Saganaw 3spd with the light weight tailhousing OD unit. These were popular in the 50's and 60's,, hell I bet I blew up a couple dozen of them in my youth.
Anyways the OD unit exploded today. These were $50 for the whole trans and OD 'back in the day' now the morons on evilbay think they are worth $500+

We really only need the OD,, locked it out and drove the rest of the 40 miles home no problem.

I know they are getting pretty rare, but I'm not going to play that game. There is only 4 parts inside these OD units and I'm looking for someone that knows a good trans shop that may be a source for internal parts.

Anyone have any manual trans shops full of old old junk and old machanics that might have parts and pieces for these things (or even a exchange)
