1967 Chevy 327 c.u.

On a 1967 Chevy pickup 327 c.u. (original engine) can anyone tell me: where on the engine block do I find the identification numbers? Thanks much!

there are a couple of locations on the block... on the block in front of the passenger side head and also on the passenger side rear block right by the bell housing...

For St Catherines produced engines the codes that are normally on the bell housing flange are instead on the passenger side of the block, near the motor mount. They can be tough to find without a mirror.

Example in pic I found from another site. This is the same location where mine is.
