Re: Wanting to put disc brakes on 67c20
The 86 K10 is gonna be a 4X4 or else it will be a C10. Now if it is a C10 then yes the crossmember will work and there are thousands of those trucks riding on the later brakes like your talking of doing.

Re: Wanting to put disc brakes on 67c20
Thanks for the info. It took me awhile to find my post I wrote on here. You would think I would have a mail box with a reply. As for the 86 donor. It is a 4wd. So that is out! I will look for a c10 donor.

Re: Wanting to put disc brakes on 67c20
You say you have a 67C20 and you keep talking about k10 and c10 trucks. You want c20 or c30 Single rear wheel.
Do yourself a favor and take all of the forward brake lines including combination valve on the forward crossmember, under the radiator. There is a brake line coupler in the frame rail under the passenger side floor board. Use everything from that coupler forward for a very clean installation.

I'm doing mine now. Be prepared for the extras you don't expect.

Re: Wanting to put disc brakes on 67c20
I do have a 67c20. And the donor truck i was going to get was a k10. Wasn't for sure if I could use that front crossmember. I'm going to be looking at the 73-87 c10's for donor for brake upgrade

And again, C10 or C20?

Re: Wanting to put disc brakes on 67c20
C or K 10 is 5 or 6 lug. C or K 20/30 is 8 lug.

Re: Wanting to put disc brakes on 67c20
Yes my 67c20 is 8 lugs. I looked lmc truck and they don't sale disc brakes for my truck. So I'm willing to go down to 1/2 ton suspension to get my disc brake set up.
