Putting a '66 250 in a '64 with a 230?

I just put a deposit down on a 250 out of a '66 c10 to go in my '64. The motor was rebuilt in '98(he had the invoice) and racked up all of 18K miles before the truck was parked due to a rotted frame. It has been upgraded to later electronic ignition too.

I'm trying to figure out what needs to change to swap the other motor in, and what might be changed on it from stock. I'm waiting for the seller to email me a few pics(forgot my camera when I looked at it). But before then, these are my big questions.

It looked to have the larger V8 radiator setup. Is that normal for the 250, and will it run cool with the smaller radiator my 230 has?

The motor has a cable throttle, was that stock for '66? My '64 has a mechanical linkage that doesn't look like it'll interchange.

Thanks in advance!

just put it in. it is basically the same engine, just a few more cubic inches. you can interchange the carbs if you are worried about the linkage. if you are going to use the HEI ign. you will have to remove the resistor or resistor wire that now runs from your ign to the coil. you will now need 12 volts there.
