3/4 ton Suburban 1 ton suspension swap?
After my motor swap is done, going to start replacing suspension stuff.
When I replace the rear leafs, thinking of going with the 3500lb rated springs. If I wanted to swap the front coils with one ton springs, wouldn't I need to replace the control arms as well? Would the truck sit level with this setup? Would the one ton control arms bolt up to my 3/4 ton frame?

I think I read in NastyBuzzard's build thread the one ton frames are different, don't know if the control arms will still bolt up though. What are going to tow?

Not sure what/if going to be towing. Just figured if I'm going to start replacing suspension stuff, may want to beef up the suspension in the process.

Re: 3/4 ton Suburban 1 ton suspension swap?
I would consider keeping the factory springs and instead replacing all the bushings, ball joints etc to freshen up what you have then upgrade the shocks to the best you can get for it, maybe Bilsteins? Then front and rear sway bars (at least front) if you don't already have them. Only because one ton springs are great for towing but if you're only going to tow occasionally you might end up with a ride that's more stiff than you like for regular driving. The 3/4 ton stuff is plenty stout and still has a good ride. Just my .02.

If you aren't towing/hauling much, all you'll get out of 1 ton components is a crappy ride. Even my C20 Camper Special is really stiff.
