Window channel 1975 Blazer LMC part 38-5966
Hello. My driver side window rear(nearest the back of the truck with the door closed) window channel is missing. This is the piece the felt slips into and holds the window in place. LMC makes this item for Blazers 1976-1991. This part Does NOT fit a 1975 Blazer (ask me how I know). They do not offer a part for 1973-1975. Is anyone familiar with if this part is reproduced anywhere? The parts are very similar just a slight difference in the mounting bracket. Thanks again.
Side note. If your filter the LMC truck catalog for trucks the same part comes up for all years. This is also part number 38-5966 as is the Blazer 76-91 part number 38-5966. |

That's going to be a tough one, you don't many 73-75 Blazers being parted out. Since people do full-vert conversions on 76-91 Blazers with a sawzall I'd guess just the mounting points are different. If the lower mounting point is the same, could you make it work by aligning the top with the door glass channel and drilling a new hole in the door jam above the latch?

Well. I'm afraid that's what I'm going to have to try. The issue is that stressing the lower bracket may cause it to break over time. I'll have to be more precise than I'm used to. I'm anxious to know if anyone has tried this before..
