Curb weight of a 78 shortbed
Does anyone know the curb weight on a 78 shortbed? I can't find it anywhere online. Base weight would work too, just trying to get a weight for transport.

mine is 4500lbs. iron head bbc but has fiberglass roll pan and hood, and no a/c,smog.

my 83 C10 with a SBC and me in it was 3980 lbs. take 250 lb me out and its just over 3700 lbs

my 85 weighed in at about 3900 with a full tank me in it and nothing stripped out.

1978 Chevy C10 shortbed stepside, 4.1 straight six, T5 trans, powersteering, nearly empty tank...3800 lbs.
Attached pic shows the truck at the dump...my old truck comes in handy ever since i became a landlord. |
