side by side control arm specs?
This past weekend, I discovered my new wheels are scrubbing the stock lower control arms. Does anyone have any measurements or side by side comparisons with aftermarket control arms vs stock?

Re: side by side control arm specs?
I have a set of CPP and a set of Hotchkis arms, but not any stock ones. What measurements are you looking for? I would assume you are trying to find something that won't rub where your stock ones are now?

I will have my new No Limit setup in a few days. I'll bet if you contact Rob, he will have the dimensions you are looking for.

Re: side by side control arm specs?
I'll try to get some photos uploaded later of where it's rubbing. It's approx. 2.5-3" behind the ball joint on the front side. I actually had it on a lift at Rob's shop when I noticed the problem. The Wide Ride kit would take care of the problem, but that's a $3600 fix. He said the RideTech coilover arms may be a cheaper fix, but he didn't know the measurements. I also asked Bret Voelkel while he was there, but he said he wouldn't know unless he had the two parts side by side.

Re: side by side control arm specs?
I think I still have the stock control arms if they haven't been scraped yet. And as I said, I will have a set of Rob's in my Wide Ride kit in a few days.

Re: side by side control arm specs?
You can see in the attached photos where the inside lip of the wheel scraped the control arm. You can also get an idea on where I need clearance.

Re: side by side control arm specs?
I had the same issue once on a'92 c1500, I ended up trimming the lip away and plating it on the bottom to regain the strength lost from cutting the lip off. I stole the idea from an issue of Sport Truck magazine back in the day. Guy named Jim Sleeper did the article, I believe it was his truck they used. This has been quite a while back.
