What is the rear bolt pattern on a 55-59
Help if you know the answer... Does anyone know if there is a bolt pattern on the end of the rear differential flange like there is on the 10-bolt or 12-bolt differentials?
Need to determine the existance (all mine are buried in 12 inches of snow up here) of a bolt pattern on the end of the tube? For example... the GM 10-bolt has four bolt hole locations. The top bolt holes are 3.125 apart horizontally at the top, and 2.687 apart horizontally at the bottom, and there is 2.437 inches between the top bolt hole and the bottom bolt hole on the vertical. OR... is the end of the tube fixed to the backing plate by a welded connection??? Help me 'cause I don't like shoveling snow... I am an OLD FART! Thanks to whomever answers... rico_bob PS: don't leave it at ZERO as I hate having to answer myself!

I'll check the back of the 56 this week and let you know. The shop manual didn't even say what the pattern is....

Thanks S'Rock!
Thanks Shamrock! I need the pattern where the backing plate goes. Trying to locate a bracket to install disk brake conversion on stock axle ends. rico_bob
