Newbie from Central Valley CA- '69 C10
I've been wanting a classic truck for too long
I finally went for it and got one 3 months ago. I have a 69 LWB running a 307. The body is straight and mostly rust free with the exception of the driver side fender. I want this truck to be my daily driver. The guy I bought it from said the truck had been sitting for about 5 years. So far I've cleaned the crud in the cabim, replaced all the fluids and rebuilt the original 2 barrel Rochester carburetor. The truck is now running and I'll be getting tires for it tomorrow. I also noticed an oil leak so I'll be putting in some new valve cover gaskets and hopefully painting the valve covers as well. Thank you for all the great advice you post.
