68-72 crew cab bed

Looks like a fleetside shortbed to me. GM never made crew cabs in this vintage. They were done by several specialty shops, who catered to the petroleum industry as well as railroads and some municipal agencies.
If it is ~2'' longer than a shortbed, maybe it was cut down from the 96'' of a regular longbed. Until I read the ad text, I was thinking it was once a Blazer backbody [''Trazer''] but that would've been even shorter than the regular shortbed. And Blazers don't have stake pockets, so that's a tell. Looks like this bed has NO stake pockets on the front corners, so it's definitely been molested.
Also looks like the bed was once part of a garbage trailer, as evidenced by the 6 hooks on the outside walls. When the seller saw the Gold Rush in 67/72 truck parts, it came off the trailer base and onto ebay.
I think it's way overpriced. Six years ago I bought a fleetside trailer on a 3/4 ton frame in Mesa for $200, but it was ugly and had no tailgate.

I do love the color. It would look super behind my '68 C/10 Orange Stepside, but I already have a trailer.

It definitely looks like it was on a coach built crew cab of some sort for sure or maybe even an extended cab by the short distance of bed in front of the rear tires. I agree, it is priced pretty high. If someone had one of these trucks and needed that box, it may be a piece for them. Anyone else building a crew cab would probably go with a regular short bed to make it look not goofy.
