Re: U-joint intermediate steering shaft

I found it somewhere on line, but what I did for mine was take the jeep shaft, and burn out the plastic like suggested. I next welded a strip of metal along one side of the upper shaft. I drilled and tapped 3 holes in the strip. I put set screws into each hole. I tightened them up to take up any play, but not overly tight, and used red loc tite on them. This still should collapse and took care of the play.
