Transmission idea's

Hey guys. I'm new to this forum so let me give you the low down. I have a 67 c-10 that I am currently building a 383 stroker for. Right now it still has the original 4 speed in it. I would like to have a manual transmission that you can shift a little quicker than the old farmers 4 speed. I'm open to all suggestions. I want it to be a manual would prefer a 5 speed but not ruling out a 4. The only transmissions that I can think of that can handle the torque and not have a granny 1st is a Muncie and the tremec tko-500. Thanks in advance.

Re: Transmission idea's

From what I've read on these forums the Tremec is the route to go.
