Thanks everyone for the compliments. This project took 14 months and a lot of $$$. I have learned a lot during the process. I bought all of the new parts through Ed @ MOthertruckers. Ed and his crew did the second paint job and a lot of the reassembly. I got to put most of the trim on and I set the engine, tranny. I also got to blast and paint all of the engine brackets and stuff. I did what I could do.
burnsman, the pics were taken at Ed's shop right after we got it running again. mechanic, the paint is Dark Olive and Med Olive. It was factory two tone and the same paint colors as Chevy. Warbones, you lightened up the last pic. IF everyone looks real close, you can see Ed driving the truck. He doesn't like being photographed but I didn't give him any choice. I still have a lot of small things to do, changing screws that aren't right, new hose clamps, clips and brackets, stickers, put door panels on, cab trim, etc. I also have to get it aligned and have the tailpipes put on. It will be fun breaking in the rebuilt engine. My next project is a 1966 VW beetle that I just bought off of Ebay. I am gonna do a lot of that myself with what I learned from this. I love these old trucks, they are so simple. I look forward to seeing everyone elses projects come around now that it's warming up. One more thing, Thanks to Josh for this great message board.
