Cool old truck, I dig those factory wagon wheels with the stock center caps.
Your 305 came with a 2Bbl carb? Here's your pic so that people dont have to click the link to go see the truck. Looking forward to seeing your build.

As far as I know my grandfather never changed anything out on the truck and I know my dad didn't. Thinks for posting the pic.

Re: 85 K10 Scotsdale A Family Tradition
Well life has been crazy at the house since I got the truck and I have not had a chance to get out and mess with it much. I have bought a new LED light to work under the hood, took 6 years of grime off the seat, and got everything off and looked at the carburetor. Seat cleaned up real good and the foam is still good so I probably won't mess with it. The carburetor is not a 2 barrel as i was told it was it is a Quadrojet 4 barrel. However, it is going to be replaced. It has bailing wire holding onside together and all the primaries and secondaries are not moving as they should. Debating on buying another quadrojet or if I will just go with an edlebrock or holly 500cfm. I will post pics tomorrow.

Re: 85 K10 Scotsdale A Family Tradition
Okay so after many months finally getting to work on the Scotsdale. Pulled the Carb because it is the first culprit I know of that is a problem. It is indeed a Rochester 4 Barrel Quadrajet. Going to get a rebuild kit and see how my luck goes with rebuilding it myself. If I am successful I will have saved $200-$300 dollars. If not then I am only out $50. I am will to take the chance then I can also say I rebuilt it myself. Ordering new fuel transfer switch for the Saddlebag gas tanks. I also plan on dropping the gas tanks this week to see what kind of shape they are in. I will be stripping off the smog pump and EGR valve and removing all Vacuum lines that are not needed. I don't have to worry about inspections so just less to worry about breaking down.
