Setting motor mount perches, motor mounts, transmission mounts, and trimming frame for headers.

Primer, guide coat, sanding, primer, guide coat, sanding. Clean Garage!

Fabricating and final installation of spring perches, panhard bar bracket, shock cross member and rear control arm cross member. Drop off to get sand blasted and painted.

Making it look easy! From experience, if you are planning on going low, nix the x-member that tied the old spring perches together, as it will cause driveshaft interference.

If you have them, please post your measurements for front and t-arm crossmembers, lots of folks ask the question here frequently.

I know this might be taken as offensive by some, but it's really not meant to be: Why? What I mean is, why take a 4 wheel drive and make it what I would consider to be less capable? I know it's a popular conversion, but being a guy who sold his 2 wheel drive trucks and saved up to buy a 4WD Blazer I always wanted, I have a hard time understanding it. I'm not knocking it, I just would like to understand the reasoning.

And by the way, your skills look to be first-rate. It looks like a great job.

I hope nobody thinks I'm slamming Frugalmeyer's truck (or anyone else's) because I think he's done a great job on it. And I don't even hate Fords (Mustangs in my Z28's rear view mirror are a favorite sight).

I guess I'll chalk it up to some people like Pepsi and some like Coke, and that's just how it is.

Probably did the conversion because factory 2wd blazer are CRAZY expensive.
This is definitely the way to do it if you have the skills needed for the conversion.

Not only crazy expensive. Limited supply. Low production numbers to begin with. I have both. Best of both worlds. The 2 wheel drive slammed down hot rod and the 4 wheel drive beach cruiser. Love them both.

I purchased the shock relocation kit (lowered trucks) from Performance Online and modified and installed a shock cross member from a 2WD truck.

I found pictures of factory blue trucks and found a couple i really liked but could not get them to tell me exactly what color is was. I ended up picking BM132 from the Dupont Blue Metallics. I want to start a thread with pictures of blue trucks and they can only post if the have the paint code!
