Re: 1950 gas pedal
I'm guessing you are trying aftermarket pedals like Lokar, etc? Have you tried the stock pedal if floor mounted works for your build? Hard to beat the stock fit!

Re: 1950 gas pedal
From experience you have a seriously hard time hooking up the linkage to a V8 from a stock pedal. That is even if it will fit in the truck anymore with the mods to the floor for the trans hump. I've tried several pedal setups over the years and the last one was a Mustang II Pedal that came from a parts rig I had. I had to bend the upper arm a bit if memory serves right and drilled a hole in the firewall for the cable.
A guy might be able to rig the stock pedal and part of the original throttle rod up with a bellcrank to work the linkage but that is a lot of fabricating before you are done along with some serious engineering to get the ratios right on the linkage to work the carb to full throttle.

Re: 1950 gas pedal
This is one I found for TF trucks that might be made to work. http://www.classicparts.com/1955-59-...nfo/89%2D651/#

Re: 1950 gas pedal
I used a gas pedal and cable from a GM suburban. Pretty much the same one is used in vans and pickups. Bought two, used one to extend the arm of the second one. Bolt in, connect cable and your done. Cost me $5.00

Re: 1950 gas pedal
Mid-90's Suburban. A GM pickup or van works well too.
