headers or ram horns on a 350

which is better? rams or headers? i've noticed it easier to get rams and i've been told that they're bout the same as headers. True? tell me what you think,sswj

Ram horn's are easier to maintain and headder's seem to be alot of maintanance but I love my headder's.. I run copper gasket's with em and don't seem to have any leak's also mine are cheapie's with just black paint...

Rams horn manifolds are better than log type manifolds for sure. as far as whats better, kind depends on application. The higher the performance level of the engine , the more benifit youll gain from headers.

From a performance stand point, headers will almost always win, hands down.
If you take the right precautuions, your headers will be almost maintnance free in all reality.

white, well, your partially right, sort of. block huggers have indivdual tubes going into one collector, rams hors do have there own tubes on the fron & rear cylinders, & than dump right in the middle.
the headers on my 454 arent block huggers....but they are shorty headers. the collector is at the frame rail. the primary tubes are a little longer than block huggers, but not nearly as long as full length. John

just my personal expieriance with block huggers , leave em the he11 alone , i cant stand them things , personally i think they are better left on the shelf
