Re: 1972 4x4 Cab cuts
How are the drip rails? I would want both sides, the entire thing for both doors. There is a "seam" that starts at the front/top of the A-Pillar. If you just cut the area around them I will take the time to cleanly separate all the spot welds, etc.
Kind of a shame... looks better than most cabs left around here. I've heard the aftermarket ones are crap and would like a nice original set. Thanks

Let me take some pics. I can send to your phone much easier if you want. I'm chasing a 20 month old around.

Re: 1972 4x4 Cab cuts
Sorry, had a meeting after my post. If they look as good on the bottom side I want 'em. What would you want shipped for the pair to 29687?

Re: 1972 4x4 Cab cuts
My cab is solid for this area, but I've owned this truck for 20 years and in my younger years I didn't know the importance of drip rail sealant. Luckily, only the drip rail metal has been damaged, but all the reviews I read said the aftermarket ones fit but the height/look is wrong.

I need to see a pic of where you want them cut and then I'll get you a total in the morning.

Re: 1972 4x4 Cab cuts
I literally want the entire drip rail, so that I can drill out the spot welds and reuse it as one piece. The new ones are about $25 each, but they're crap.
If you look at the underside you can see where the "one piece" is. It starts at the A-pillar and goes all the way around the door. Here's an old pic of my truck, the seam sealer is outlining the underside of the drip rail and you can see where it starts at the front of the cab. Cut a little extra towards the inside of the cab and at the A-pillar and that would be perfect. You can see the overlap at the A-pillar in your pic below. I think a good long metal sawzall blade cutting from the underside should have each side off in a couple minutes. The less extra metal, the cheaper the shipping, there will be several layers sandwhiched together at that area.

Re: 1972 4x4 Cab cuts
I would have to say 115.00 just because they will need a decent size box.

Re: 1972 4x4 Cab cuts
I'll get something together tomorrow. I will be in Valdosta GA this month as well and if you know anyone in the area that would cost nothing in shipping.
