Need Some Opinions
Hey all. I'm planning on putting the original steel wheels back on my '69 SWB.
Was wondering if it would be better to blast and paint or just leave original as they came. I have no plans to redo the body or paint. Any opinions? Thanks |

Re: Need Some Opinions
depends on the condition of the wheels and your truck. you wouldn't want to put crappy looking wheels on a nice truck or vice versa.

35boulder get the Search bar going and you just might find a hole lot of what you asked for in the first place in images showing what they look like with that "crappy" look & new or old rim look. Its your truck do what you want with it and run the he!! out of it. |

35boulder; look at this thread in this same section here, From CG titled 15 inch tire and wheel combos only and get some ideas there. what ever you choose it will look good. these trucks you can't screw up they look good in any way.

Re: Need Some Opinions
patina wheels sometimes look ok but not allways.
imho you cant go wrong with fresh wheels and most times the "correct looking " tires. this can be a tough combo too find. but we need pics too help decide.

Re: Need Some Opinions
When I run steel wheels I like rattle can white. Repaint every couple years. Only reason I went aluminum is because I wanted 17" for tire selection. I decided to ditch the 16.5s.
Anyhow, rattle can white; looks great on steel wheels and the price it right!
