Yeah, I guess you could say that. Just took a couple of outer brackets from a Suburban, some scrap steel and my trusty welder. Then had it powder coated. In its' stock configuration, a van bumper won't bolt up to our trucks, but for $30 from a pick-n-pull, I thought I'd give it a try. Interesting thing is, the majority of those that see the truck think it's stock (if they even care!) and only some purists with a good eye will see there's no bumper bolts holding it onto the truck, or that a rear cab trim molding was used as a dust shield (painted black also)

Well it looks great! What year van was it? Does the front hide the bolts also?

Thanks. It was an 80's work van (didn't get the year, didn't care really, it just looked neat, was painted and straight). This is what came with the truck, and it was "fugly"



The front bumper is the factory chrome bumper and the bolts are there for the world to see (can be seen in the "show me your front ends" thread, #43, if interested)
