1971 K-10 4" Lift Brake Hoses

I am just about to wrap up my restoration on my 71 K-10. I installed a 4" lift springs all the way around. My question is do you know any other stock brake hoses that will be longer and work with my application. I am wanting to stay away from stainless braided they do look good its not the look I want.

Yeah, what I ask for are '75 C20 brake hoses. They have mounts in the middle I remove in the vise. Probably the same PN as those P-seies. I posted the NAPA pn in a thread not too far down the list here.

The longer brake lines ORD sells have a opaque coating on them and they are not "shinny" but they are braided stainless.

Re: 1971 K-10 4" Lift Brake Hoses

All DOT stainless lines have to have a coating on them now, so no more bare stainless lines. Something like dirt got in between the ferrule and the braid and wore the braid through and someones lines failed. Like JIMs70GMC said, the ORD ones are coated. I got them and they have a brownish coating, are slightly shiny and are translucent

Re: 1971 K-10 4" Lift Brake Hoses

Thanks. the braided stainless are nice. I usually run those ever since they came out, but this is another option for a stock look, cheaper, available locally, etc. like this '72 I just lifted and put aluminum slots on. It's all retro. Looks like it was done 30 years ago or more. So, the braided stainless would be newer than everything else.

Re: 1971 K-10 4" Lift Brake Hoses

I made my own. Inline tube sells coated brake lines and the fittings are all AN stuff. I think I made mine for about $65, and $25 or so were the brake lines themselves.

I replaced all the brake drum and disc stuff up front and HOLY COW that D60 just stops like a beast.
