Lets see your brush guards, grille guards, pushbumpers.......

Just like the title says, lets see everyone's trucks that have extra front end protection. I've got a small pushbumper on mine, that was homemade by my Granddad. The best pic I have right now is this one, lets see some others.

I think that brush guard was one often put on these trucks way back when new. In fact, I think they were a factory option. I've seen several of them in person, in any case. Someone had one for sale either here or on ebay late last year. Someone will correct me, if I'm wrong.

First thing I thought as well, then you see the guard cut out fits the bumper
correctly.

No kidding! I must say I admire your courage in posting a pic of it because that is the most rinky dink grill "guard" I have ever seen. The top-center tube joint and pinched-tube bumper bolt mounts crack me up.

Thanks for the pic .........and the laugh.

Hey, that's that funky lookin step bumper my truck had on it. I thought I had the only stepside with it....in several other posts it seems like the wrap around only came on fleetsides. I'm not crazy....well, don't answer that....I like that brush guard.

Yeah that's the first thing I noticed about that red/orage stepside, that bumper is huge. I know it's from Texas because it has Texas plates and that Exxon station looks familiar, I think I've been there before but I don't know.

Re: Lets see your brush guards, grille guards, pushbumpers.......

Picked up this nos 1969 warn winch bumper at a swap meet over the weekend.

I thought it was a homemade jobby till the fella said all the original hardware and instructions were in the bag? Whaaat????
I Looked closer and noticed the old labels on all the parts and the brackets are still banded too the bumper.
Yhea he said the box fell apart but everything is still in there.
My kid pulled out the instructions I saw it really is a warn and said.
SOLD.

I know of 3 other members here that were there they all have 4x4's and they walked right passed it and didn't notice it.
i didn't either till the last pass through that row too get out the gate.

After I showed it too two of the fellas all I got was...we didn't see that, you lucky dog! ( cause they knew I got it CHEAP since it was the end of the day)

I'll have too make my grill guard work with the bumper...and find a winch

Re: Lets see your brush guards, grille guards, pushbumpers.......

And also putting this vintage tube bumper on the rear.
I gotta get it too work/fit with the oe bed that has a twin cly dump mech.
Just might end up mounting it too the frame of the dump mech so it tilts with the bed. OR it's gonna hang way or bind with the bed.
