Looking at this...

Guy I know in his mid 70's has this "69 C10 his dad bought new! Super straight/solid GA truck. Needs to be saved ASAP! Wondering what the value may be as she sits??? He thinks it had a big block when new, has a small block now(how to find out?). Still has bias ply tires!

Re: Looking at this...

Cool truck! If it had a big block it would have a high hump trans tunnel in the center of the cab, it would also mention it on the SPID. As for value, it's hard to say from those pictures. Looks like 2,500-3,000 if it doesn't need a ton of work. Let me know if you pass, I may be interested

I would certainly get it, especially for 2k. Does it run? I'm sure it did when parked but I would verify that the motor turns over and doesn't have a rats nest on the carb. Sweet truck for sure! Always cool finding an original owner truck, they are getting fewer and far beween

Re: Looking at this...

From the pictures it doesn't look like a lot of rust? Nice having original paint! I'd saw 2K is a really good price if not rusted out. Body work is PRICEY.

Re: Looking at this...

Oh yes, check and see if the crankshaft will turn and what the carburator looks like inside the air cleaner, it would help if it would at least roll, you have some good things there....lwb and a tool box.

I'm not a big fan of automatics but it's not for me it's for you, so, try those things out and the other members' advice and go get it.

Re: Looking at this...

Bigblock would have factory hangers on both sides of the frame for duals. High hump as has been said also there might be a hole in the left inner fender where the power steering res was.

Cool truck! Let me know if you pass on it. I'm in Marietta and have an affinity for medium olive c10s.

Re: Looking at this...

If it's original paint there should be holes under the fender badge for the optional 396 emblem. Looks like a 307 base truck with 2-tone to me. Still a great truck!
