Re: 50 gmc blinker switch

Those were all aftermarket switches that were either installed at the dealership, an independent shop or the owner.

Here is one common switch that has been around for a long time and is still sold. The diagram should be reasonably close.

I've figured them out before with an ohm meter or a continuity tester to tell where the wires go.

if it has the setup for 4 way flashers it is post 1965 as that was about the time they came out with 4 way flashers.

77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Re: 50 gmc blinker switch

Not to be short with you 5oDude but no 50 Chevy pickup came from the factory with turn signals. They were added on at the dealer or added on by a shop or the owner who bought them at a parts house. Pre 1965 most only came with one hot wire in and wires for the front and rear signals. Those signals were the ones that you see on top of the front fenders in most cases and the extra light on the back of the trucks. Later they rigged them to work with the brake lights for the rear.

Post some photos of your switch and one or the other of us can figure out what you are working with.
