Sliding Side Window felt and weatherstrip
Anyone know where I can find new weather strip and felt for the side sliding windows on my 81 K5? I think this is where the water is coming in. I replaced the outer rubber moulding a year or so ago.
Thanks, Tim

Re: Sliding Side Window felt and weatherstrip
LMC would be the best place to look that I can think of.

Not listed in their catalog. I wonder if a place that sells the fiberglass toppers for pickup trucks might have what I need. I'm striking out everywhere I look online

If you can't find a direct replacement from one of the Chevy Vendors, try comparing yours to the different styles that JC Whitney has in their catalog.

Re: Sliding Side Window felt and weatherstrip
Still no luck finding a replacement weather seal for the sliders. Ordered what looked like the part from LMC and had to pay to return it. JC Whitney sent me a couple of samples that look like they have potential, but I don't know how they would make the bend and they don't have holes in the bottom of the weatherstrip for drainage.
I've tried Chevy, Goodmark Industries and Soffseal among others.

Re: Sliding Side Window felt and weatherstrip
We are searching high and low for this same replacement part.
Did you ever have any luck finding this? Looking for the sliding window felt glass run replacement part for our 87' Chevy Blazer. Thanks!! |

Re: Sliding Side Window felt and weatherstrip
Did this go anywhere? My windows are stuck closed because the felt run pieces are totally broken up.
