Flip Kit How To?

Has anyone seen a "how to" for installing a flip kit online?

I am concerned about getting everything aligned when I am done.

Also, am I supposed to weld the new "c"-shaped axle supports to the axle or simply torque it all down.

Aligned? You lost me there. The new axle saddle has a hole that aligns with the bolt on the spring.

I looked at Mike's site.

By "c"-shaped axle support, I meant the part that sits between the axle and the spring pack (axle pad, maybe). When you flip the axle on top of the spring pack, the stock ones sit on top of the axle, and so you put new ones under the axle, on top of the springs, and then bolt it all back together.

Do you weld these in place?

No, they are held in place when the u-bolts are torqued down.

When I installed a DJM flip kit I noticed the plates allow some fore and aft movment of the axle. I measured from the front spring hanger bolts to the same place on each side of the axle to make sure it was square to the chassis.

I had to grind a relief in the lower spring plate side and install a smaller bolt in outboard hole in the shock extender on the passenger side to get everything to fit together.

I would reccomend putting the shock extenders on first, then install the spring plates to see if everyhing will fit.
