Re: What and why is a slant-nose?
The little cartoon drawing does look "Kool" but in my opinion the hood still looks too much like 69-72's hoods. just my .02 cents

Re: What and why is a slant-nose?
I definitely like the 67-68 look the best, especially with the white nose.

Is the radiator support the same for both styles? Have a 67 with rotted radiator support buddy has one for a 71 hope it fits save some money.

Re: What and why is a slant-nose?
Ok, first time poster here, like this site, but remember reading that car designer Harry Bradley designed the 1967 pickup and especially the slant nose. He had also designed the first series of Hotwheels in 1968. From what I have read he got pissed when Chevy decided to change the slant nose in 1969 and quit Chevy and went back to Hotwheels.

Re: What and why is a slant-nose?
After the '64-'66 "truck look", Chevy went back again to styling hues of the car line. The "elongated and taller" car styling is very evident in the '48-'54, '55-'59 and '67-'72 truck. The '66 Olds rounded fenders, curved bottom and sharp edge top windshield corners and slanted hood are obvious giveaways. Its common knowledge that GM management changed the hood design in '69 to give these pickups a more "truck look".
