value of a 6 spd ?
Hey folk's , I have a 6 speed tranny from a 94 camaro that I just had to have as part of a trade 2 years ago, and haven't touched since. I have no history on it ,but it came from a trusted source and has 2 bell housings. I'm getting too lazy to shift and shuttermutt will run 700r4 in his 67, so any ideas on value of this thing? I checked e-bay, but did not find any. Thanks in advance to the best board out there!

I believe you can get a whole retrofit kit for about 2500.

Put a price on it and see if you get a response. I am interested. But doubt i could rake up cash at this moment. Doesnt hurt to ask though. |

Used working T56's for LS1's are in the $750.00 range, give or take a couple hundred on condition.

This might give you a perspective:
I bought a 1996 LT1 with 6 speed tranny with 45k miles on ebay 3 years ago for 3,000 plus ship. I would guestimate that since it is a 1994, and LT1 engine tranny combos are going for around 1500 now, that you wold only probably see around 500.00 for it. That is just my opinion on the way I see the depreciation going. I hope that helps more than it hinders. Shawn

You may already know this, but not all T56's are the same.
Many had different torque ratings, and they came in Chevys, Fords, and Dodges... and they don't interchange. The Chevy T56s came behind a LT1 and then a different T56 came behine a LS1 from '98-on camaros, and of course the '97+ corvette used yet another T56. The 93-97 Camaro T56s are a little easier to get mounted behind a pre-LT1 engine... so they sell for a bit more than the '98+ T56s. I'll give you $300 if you promise that it is a good tranny. |

I have had my T56 for a couple of years. I paid 2500 for it new(not rebuilt). Without the adapter plate the tranny is worth around 1500 because of unknown condition.
The best and smoothest shifting tranny on earth IMO. |
