Gypsy makeup

Thought some of you might enjoy seeing some of the stuff in doing to my 68 GMC panel. She's up in NY right now, and live in Charlotte, NC now. So we're trying to get her good enough to bring down to enjoy. Fresh 383 is in store, linked to a 4L80e wired to shift manually. 3/5 drop with mild notch. Home made disc brake conversion up front. Just some easy stuff to make her safe to drive in heavy traffic. I'll update as often as possible, but as you've probably guessed by now.. there will be some time between posts.

That has to be a pretty scarce bird.... It's hard enough to find a Chevy Panel.

That should be a fun trip. I plan on driving my '67 when I go down to Albany, GA to visit my brother....

Keep us posted on the progress.

Re: Gypsy makeup

Sweet. I would imagine you'll keep them, but what about water getting in, or don't you care?

Re: Gypsy makeup

Well.. the holes have been in it since 1994, and don't seem to bothering anything to much. I don't plan on doing much to the body. There's a couple spots down low I want to clean up.. but for the most part, she's staying rough

I thought I remembered seeing that truck before. Member "3QTRTONS" posted pictures of it back in 2013 when he owned it......

Re: Gypsy makeup

Went back up to NY in the middle of July for the Syracuse nationals. Spent a lot of hours in the garage while there tinkering on the old girl.
