Front Suspension Cross Member Removal?
Can anyone advise me how to remove the front cross member? It look like there are seven bolts on each side. Do I have to remove all of them?

If you unbolt the steering box also you can take the whole thing as a unit otherwise you'd have to disconnect the steering somewhere. Also have brake lines, motor mounts to remove. I've done three now and it isn't too bad. Most of the bolts can be torched off to speed things up but there are two bolts on each side behind the upper A-arm pivot shaft that have to be removed with a wrench. The crossmember has the nuts for these welded so it's harder to torch them off.

I just disassembled my front end and I have very detailed shots of what I think will help you. PM your e-mail and I will forward the pics. I used an impact not a torch unless you need to heat a bolt for easier removal.
