Approx. value of a 71 C20?
I know a guy that has a 71 C20. I don't have much info on it. He did say it has a 350, it needs brake work, and it "hums" when trying to start. lol I'm assuming it may need a starter from that. From what little info I have, it seems to be all original and unrestored.
What would you guys say an estimated value range would be?

Re: Approx. value of a 71 C20?
Specifically, how rusty is it? What driveline does it have? Is it fully optioned? etc

Really hard to say without a few pictures. The stuff you mentioned is really not that important as far as I'm concerned, unless you aren't capable of fixing that type of problems yourself. The important part is the rust problems. Even if you think there is none or it is minimal you will find very few trucks that don't have hidden rust problems. The obvious areas are easy to check, the hidden areas not so much.... Be sure and check it over really well. LockDoc

Re: Approx. value of a 71 C20?
I bought a '72 C25 with some damage on the drivers side bedside and rear of the cab. Rusted out rockers and floors. Custom Camper with 350 c.i., and a TH400. Came with a canopy and 2 extra brand new studded snow tires on 8 lug rims. Runs, drives and stops. I drove it home 2 hours from where I bought it. I paid $900 dollars if memory serves me right.

Re: Approx. value of a 71 C20?
I would say it could go from about 500 to 20,000 depending on a million different factors.

Re: Approx. value of a 71 C20?
He claims there's no rust. I just wanted to get a round about figure. I'm not that knowledgeable on the C20 versions of these trucks. If it were a C10 shortbed, I wouldn't even ask here, because I know the going prices on them. I'll try to get more info and look at it up close.
