need fuel tank sectioned - any referals for the Mobile Alabama area?

I would like to have my drivers side fuel tank sectioned 3 inches, like Joe Yezzi of squarebodysyndicate did to his SEMA truck, so the tank doesn't hang below the body of the truck.

Anyone know of a reputable shop in the Mobile, Baldwin County, Pensacola area that could do this?

Thanks

I was attempting to replicate what Joe Yezzi did on the SEMA build. I like the look / thought of it being something the factory may have put out.

I reluctantly have been considering just going with a rear mounted fuel tank, but I want to keep my factory spare tire in its stock location.

id say -probably the old tank need cleaned ???? ssooo what id do is buy a new one and have a sheet metal shop {or radiator shop} cut it and probably tig weld it or solder it back together ?? that way it will not have to be cleaned PLUS it probably look better when done ??

Thanks for the comments. Ideally that's what I want to do is buy a new one from LMC Truck or some place of the like and have just what you stated done. Thing is I've called several places in the area and none say that do that sort of thing.

If your plan is to order a new tank, what about drop shipping it to whatever custom shop you want, have them slice & dice it then ship it back to you.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

any RADIATOR SHOP SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO A NEW TANK VERY EASY- AND A NEW TANK SHOULD BE AVAILABLE FROM A LOCAL AUTO PARTS HOUSE /PLUS NO SHIPPING -ALSO MAYBE YOU KNOW A FRIEND THAT WORKS THERE FOR A BETTER PRICE // i like the dorman -tanks from oriellys BUT they are black coated -be hard to clean up for welding -i think oriellys also has "spectra "?? brand ? nice tanks BUT need a paint job and or under coating before install !
