yes, it basically equates to coasting downhill. Try to leave a dead stop and you're in the red. Go figure. However, a vac gauge can be a useful tuning tool. To use it to estimate best driving habits is a bit of a waste of time - when you give it gas, you get worse mileage, The End.

Re: motorcycle ride = Longhorn

If I had the room or something ever happens to my truck (swb) I want to replace it with a longhorn stepside.

I think the longer beds look more balanced and I can haul longer things.

I'd static drop it ( without permanent mods ) but leave it 8 lug. Before I found my truck, I was actually looking for a c20 with this in mind.

However, I'd still be proud to drive it as-is...

Very cool truck I would definitely not shorten it. There's enough long beds falling to that trend I'm sure Longhorns can be spared. But it's your truck so obviously the option is yours to decide. I myself like all these trucks short long or extra long but I really wonder why shorts are so desirable. A 6 foot bed behind an 8 foot front end looks off IMHO. The trucks of today are even worse. You have quad cabs with a useless 6 foot and most aren't even that.

I think I'm going with a 3/5 drop on her and see how she looks. I will leave her Longhorn long. I have had a few death threats if I shorten her.
