2002 Suburban 6.0 recked all advice welcome!

Hello,
I recently purchased this red 2002 Suburban that was hit in the right front.

Both airbags were deployed.

3/4 Ton Truck.

I purchased a donor truck 2000 Silverado 1500 pickup.

The donor has good fender, grill, bumper, hood, radiator support, rebuilt transmission but is rusted real bad.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

Here are the pics. Any advise is welcome.

Thank you!

Am I wasting my time getting this back on the road? 140K miles? Very little rust.

2500 burbs are rare up here so that makes it worth fixing . Is the frame still true ? Might be worth getting it on a alignment rack before you go any further. just to make sure its going to track nice when you get it fixed.

A 2500 Burb makes a great tow rig so I'd say the effort is worth it if the Burb is not rotted. If you need any parts I part out these trucks for fun so I have quite a few spares.

The radiator from the pickup will not work, it doesn't have the oil cooler ports. I ordered a new one for less than $100. The progress has stalled. I noted the brake lines and decided that I would be an idiot to not replace them while they are staring right at me. I ordered a brake line kit. I have plenty to do with other projects so if this sits for a few days that is okay.

looks like a worth while project to me also. if the price was right, i wouldn't complain about a little parts swappage.

one thing that i have learned, quite recently, is that if you part out the truck (or any rig for that matter), if you have the room to store parts, save any and all serviceable parts, and all sheetmetal and interior parts that are not rotted. when stored properly (like jenga or tetris) they take up little room and can come it quite handy down the road.

I recently cut up a 2004 2500HD xcab, i bought it for the engine and trans, and i took the non drive-train parts to the scrap yard. 4 months later bought a non xcab truck, everything else the same and i have wasted 1500$ buying parts to get it on the road when i had all those parts in new/A1 condition on the truck i cut up. dumb stupid me. live and learn and share the seemingly obvious to everyone else except myself wisdom. lol
