Several GMC grills to be restored....
Here's a shot of one I'm doing for my father in laws' 77 GMC....it's supposed to be argent silver w/dark grey inner grill accent. I've repairs 3 broken bars, scuffed/cleaned the grill, plastic primed it and lightly sprayed it with a couple coats of argent silver enamel. Soon I'll be adding the dark grey inner accent color, clearcoating the whole grill and then applying an enamel "GMC"orange to the center emblem to finish it off. The next grill is the same but with the dark grey and argent colors are reversed. I've got quite a few to do-most are spoken for by local builders but I had fun getting to work on the 77 today a bit-even if it was simply getting a start on refinishing hard to find trim parts. I'm also restoring a 1975 GMC grill emblem and matching 454 emblem just for the hell of it.

Re: Several GMC grills to be restored....
Well I've got one grill close to be finished....and a second one in plastic primer, a few repairs done and ready for its first coats of argent. The top one needs a couple tiny touch-ups and it's ready for install!

Closeup of the emblem color-I wanted to give it an "insert" look similar to the 81-up GMC tailgate band emblems-this way it has some depth to it.
