Ride hight

Can anyone tell me the original front and rear ride heights for the '62 C10, or where to find this info?

Re: Ride hight

It will be in the FSM and/or the Chassis Service Manual. I don't have the 62, I have the 63 and the 65 supplement. Someone will have the 62.

Re: Ride hight

I looked through the FSM and owner's manuals and didn't see a ride height spec. If someone with an OEM suspension '62 C10 could measure from the top of the fender's wheel arch to the center of the wheel, front and rear, I'd sure appreciate seeing those measurements.

Re: Ride hight

People are constantly asking this question and I do not understand why the people with the factory restored trucks or the most original trucks in existence don't chime in. I have never seen this question get answered.

If everyone else with a stock truck is like me, it's because we're not sure that our trucks are still AT the factory ride height.

55 years of sitting has quite probably made the torsion bars give a little more than they did new.
