curious, what is the console under the heater controls? what is it from? how did you mount it? is it extra storage or does it hold a player of some sort? thanks.

BINGO!
It's a cup holder from an 88-95 Chev. I had to make a mount under the dash, but the whole thing is help up by 2 screws. I also made some filler pieces for the sides from scrap plastic I found at the junkyard.

Scott, Very nice...I was so taken with the outside of your truck on Sunday that I never got a chance to check out the inside! There is never enough time! I did not get a chance to crawl under it either, darn!

You'd be disappointed
Thanks for compliments (just what I needed). There's nothing special under my truck. It was not a "cab off" job. But everything is new under there.

What did the 5 speed come out of? It looks similar to an S-10 shifter? Am I close? Looks good though.

Interior
I have installed the same seat in my -'70. Easy install, if I remember 2 of the factory holes lined up. Great job.

S10 5 speed
The T5 came out of an '85 V6 S10. I used the stock bellhousing and clutch linkage with a clutch assembly for an Astro van and a modified S10 drive shaft. Had to make a spacer for between the tranny and bellhousing (or cut input shaft). I learned all about it from www.inliners.org and www.jtr.com (jags that run). The T5 doesn't take a lot of torque, but it cruises great.
